Allied Timbers donates treated poles to the Mutambara Community.
Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd has donated treated poles as a way to give back to the community under Chief Mutambara in Chimanimani. The treated poles are meant to aid in the construction of a deep tank which will benefit the Mudzimwa community under Headman Marowa.
The handover ceremony which took place at the Cashel Estate in Chimanimani, was graced by Chief Mutambara and local village headmen. The donation is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy which seeks to develop communities.

Transplantation is the technique in which a plant is moved from one location to other. It involves the growing of seedlings or seeds in a piece of well-managed and protected land called the nursery. After the development of a few weeks, the plants are transplanted into the main field for further growth and development.
Allied Timbers Private Ltd recently held the 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence commemorations in Mutare where all the female employees of the company were present. The event was graced by the company’s Board Chairperson Ms. K Mupandawana and the directors, Mr. E Sunduza and Mrs. L Mujuru.
All the female workers were given blankets as a token of appreciation for their contribution towards the company’s growth. Speaking during the event, Ms. Mupandawana said that the company was committed to eliminating harassment against women and men in the workplace. Through the 2023 revised Conditions of Service, sexual relations and love relationships are prohibited as they are breeding grounds for gender-based violence.
Aligning with this year’s global theme, “UNITE! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls,” the event was aimed at increasing awareness of gender-based violence and advocating for gender-inclusive services, including healthcare, psychosocial support, and legal aid for survivors of GBV.
The impact of gender-based violence on women and girls underscores the ongoing journey toward achieving gender equality. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd remains steadfast in supporting government initiatives to eliminate gender-based violence through policy frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
In a bid to strengthen its relations with local chiefs, Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited held a luncheon for traditional chiefs in Manicaland. During the event, the Chiefs were presented with grocery hampers as a token of appreciation for their unwavering support towards the company. The event was graced by traditional chiefs from various areas in the Manicaland Provinces.
Addressing the local chiefs, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Honorable Advocate Misheck Mugadza said that, Chiefs have a crucial role to play in ensuring that the communities work in unison with organizations. He also applauded the efforts by Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd to invest in the development of communities.
Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd Donates Pressurized-Treated Poles to the Zimbabwe Military Academy
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd donated 50.6 cubic meters of pressurized-treated poles to the Zimbabwe Military Academy. CEO Remigio Nenzou handed over the poles to Director of the Zimbabwe Military Academy Colonel M Muza in Gweru.
During the ceremony, Mr R. Nenzou stated, “We’re proud to support the Zimbabwe National Army with vital materials for their training routines. This donation demonstrates our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting national development.”
