Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity for the position of Financial Accountant has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is an extensive, local and international provider of high quality and durable timber-based solutions for both industrial and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Finance Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Maintains daily bank balances

2) Maintains cash flow position against funding requirements

3) Reviews bank and creditors reconciliations

4) Conducts cost and revenue analysis

5) Maintains bank relationships

6) Manages tax affairs

7) Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities

8) Compiles key business metrics and report on them to management

9) Performs additional analyses and report as requested by management

10) Prepares and processes month-end reporting up to the Trial Balance stage

11) Prepares annual Financial Statements

12) Supervises daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations for compliance

13) Conducts reconciliations of the Balance Sheet

 

Qualifications and Experience

1) Degree in Accounting

2) CIS/ACCA added advantage

3) High accuracy level and numeracy

4) Financial and business acumen

5) Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

6) Critical and analytical thinking

7) Advanced Microsoft excel skills and ability to use a variety of accounting software

 

Remuneration

A remuneration package commensurate with education and experience will be given to the successful candidate.
